Job summary

Outwood Academy Redcar is seeking an ICT Technician to provide first-line support to staff and students and maintain ICT rooms and AV equipment. The role involves Active Directory and software deployment, with a focus on network and security practices.

You will assist with software installs, manage inventories, and contribute to health and safety compliant maintenance across ICT resources.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an IT support role.
• Practical experience with Active Directory and user account management.
• Good understanding of current software operating systems.
• Knowledge of network protocols and VLANs.
• Exposure to automated OS and software deployment techniques.
• Effective communication and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• First-line ICT support for staff and students via the helpdesk system.
• Maintenance of ICT rooms and equipment.
• General technical support for the department.
• Commissioning, testing, maintenance and repair of electronic and computer systems, peripherals and AV equipment.
• Updating inventories.
• Assisting with installing and configuring software under direction.
