Job summary

Outwood Academy Ripon is seeking an ICT Technician to deliver first-line ICT support for staff and students. You will manage the helpdesk workloads, maintain ICT rooms, and assist with software installation and software deployments. The role requires practical IT experience in a school environment and familiarity with Active Directory and network concepts.

The position offers a competitive salary, 37-hour week, and the chance to contribute to a high-achieving academy with strong Ofsted ratings.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support role.
• Practical experience with Active Directory and user account management.
• Good understanding of current software operating systems.
• Knowledge of network protocols and VLANs.
• Exposure to automated OS and software deployment techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional first-line ICT support to staff and students via the helpdesk.
• Maintain ICT rooms and equipment, and support department systems.
• Assist in installing and configuring software, update inventories, and evaluate software.
