Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician in Shropshire. You will service and repair a mixed fleet, including HGVs, light vans, gritters, and pool cars, ensuring safety and reliability for winter and daily highway operations.

You will hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and have experience diagnosing vehicle faults, with strong organisational and documentation skills for electronic records.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing faults on commercial or heavy vehicles.
• Experience maintaining a range of vehicles to manufacturer and legal standards.
• Ability to accurately complete service documentation and electronic records.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, inspections and maintenance on diverse vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Support winter maintenance operations by preparing gritting vehicles.
• Maintain accurate electronic service records and fleet documentation.
• Work with colleagues and drivers to keep the workshop safe and efficient.
