Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in the United Kingdom. The role involves diagnosing, servicing and repairing a wide range of heavy vehicles, ensuring safety and compliance with manufacturer standards.

You will work with a supportive team, benefit from ongoing training and a discretionary bonus, and have access to modern diagnostic tools. A Level 3 qualification and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience diagnosing electrical and electronic faults.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Class 1 licence advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain HGVs to a high standard.
• Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Perform mechanical, electrical and electronic fault diagnosis.
• Record work on job cards and maintain workshop paperwork.
• Ensure vehicles meet safety, legal and compliance requirements.
• Work across various commercial vehicle systems and components.
• Collaborate with colleagues to minimise downtime.
• Use tools and diagnostic equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain a clean, organised workshop environment.
