Job summary

Alecto Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled HGV Technician for a day shift across a nationwide network of workshops. You will service, maintain and repair heavy vehicles to high standards, ensuring safety, reliability and DVSA compliance.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair), strong fault-finding and the ability to work independently or in a team. Day shift, training and career development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair) or equivalent.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability is required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs.
• Completing PMIs, safety inspections, and defect rectification.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults.
• Preparing vehicles for MOT and annual test.
• Accurately completing job cards and maintenance documentation.
• Working in line with company health & safety policies.
