Royal Mail Swindon Workshop is seeking a Level 3 qualified vehicle technician to perform inspections, diagnostics and repairs on a fleet of light and heavy vehicles in a modern workshop. You will work a rotating shift pattern and be part of a team focused on reliability and safety.

The role offers progression opportunities, a pension scheme, training plans, and an enhanced benefits package. Applicants should have a Level 3 qualification and a full UK manual licence; weekend shifts are included

Qualificações

• Own toolkit for standard repairs
• Experience on a wide range of vehicles (LCV/HGV)
• Hold a full UK manual driving licence, ideally HGV with trailer experience
• Willing to work a flexible shift rota

Working Hours: Full time - 39.5 hours per week (rotating shift pattern; week 1: 06:00 - 14:24, week 2: Monday - Thursday 12:36 - 21:00 Friday 10:30 - 19:00). You will be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays 06:00 - 14:24 (with a weekday day off).

• You’ll perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
• You’ll work in a modern, well-equipped workshop, using both specialist tooling and your own tools for maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles.

A Bit About You

• Qualified mechanic: you’re fully qualified to an advanced level (Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent). You’ve got your own toolkit for standard repairs.
• Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, for example LCV / HGV.
• Valid UK driving licence: You hold a full manual UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience.
• High working standards: you take pride in your work and do what is necessary to make sure the job is done effectively.
• Flexible to service demands: you’re able to work on a flexible shift rota. You’re always willing to support your team where necessary.
