Job summary

Moxie People are partnering with a Welsh housing provider to recruit an experienced Heating & Plumbing Engineer for a 9-month fixed-term contract in Pembrokeshire. The role covers occupied homes, delivering heating and plumbing maintenance, servicing and compliance works.

You will work as part of the customer-focused property team, participate in on-call rota, and ensure all works meet gas safety regulations while delivering high first-time fix performance.

Qualifications

• ACS Gas qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Gas Fitting, Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong domestic servicing, repairs and maintenance experience
• Full UK driving license
• Ability to work independently across Pembrokeshire daily
• Willingness to participate in the on-call rota
• Basic DBS check will be required on appointment

Responsibilities

• Gas servicing, repairs, maintenance and fault-finding
• Heating installations, replacements and upgrades
• Responsive repairs to domestic heating and plumbing systems
• Annual servicing and planned maintenance programmes
• Supporting heating improvements linked to decarbonisation goals
• Ensuring all works comply with gas safety regulations and internal assurance frameworks
• Delivering strong first-time fix performance
• Providing excellent customer service to tenants and residents
• Diagnosing faults and resolving issues quickly and safely
• Maintaining accurate compliance records and documentation
• Participating in the out-of-hours on-call rota
• Working collaboratively with Maintenance, Compliance and Planned Works
• Supporting wider service areas when required

Heating & Plumbing Engineer

Moxie People are partnering with a respected Welsh housing provider who are looking for an experienced Heating & Plumbing Engineer to join their customer-focused property team on a 9-month fixed-term contract.

This is a hands-on role working across occupied homes throughout Pembrokeshire, delivering responsive heating and plumbing repairs, annual servicing, compliance works and planned maintenance. You'll play a vital part in keeping customers safe, warm and compliant - ensuring every home meets regulatory standards and is handed over with 100% safety and compliance.

We are only considering candidates who meet all essential technical requirements, live within Pembrokeshire, and can participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota (approx. 1 in every 4-6 weeks).

What you'll be doing

You’ll take ownership of heating and plumbing works across the county, including:

• Gas servicing, repairs, maintenance and fault-finding
• Heating installations, replacements and upgrades
• Responsive repairs to domestic heating and plumbing systems
• Annual servicing and planned maintenance programmes
• Supporting heating improvements linked to decarbonisation goals
• Ensuring all works comply with gas safety regulations and internal assurance frameworks

• Diagnosing faults and resolving issues quickly and safely
• Maintaining accurate compliance records and documentation
• Participating in the out-of-hours on-call rota (standby + emergency callouts)
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across Maintenance, Compliance and Planned Works
• Supporting wider service areas when required
