Job summary

Niyaa People is recruiting on behalf of a large, well-established housing association in south-east Wales for a Gas Engineer. This permanent role offers generous pension contributions and a flexible benefits package, with a salary of £40,937.14 per year.

You’ll work across occupied and void domestic properties and be part of a supportive maintenance team. You will carry out reactive heating and plumbing repairs, service boilers and fires, diagnose faults, complete gas inspections, and support

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in primary trade.
• CCN1 Core Gas Safety, CENWAT1, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1 qualifications.
• Full UK driving licence and at least three years' experience.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out reactive heating and plumbing repairs.
• Servicing domestic boilers and fires.
• Diagnosing faults and providing practical technical solutions.
• Completing gas inspections and testing.
• Recording completed works using electronic systems.
• Working across occupied and void domestic properties.
• Supporting wider compliance and maintenance teams.
• Participating in the out-of-hours call-out service when required.

• A minimum of three years relevant experience
• CCN1 Core Gas Safety
• CENWAT1 Boilers and Water Heaters

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work independently with limited supervision
• A full UK driving licence
