Nuco Solutions Ltd in Exeter is seeking an experienced Domestic Gas Service & Repairs Engineer to join a well-established social housing contractor. You will carry out servicing, fault finding, and repairs across occupied homes, delivering high-quality workmanship and ensuring gas safety compliance.

You'll work in a supportive team with long-term stability, a permanent PAYE role, and benefits including a company van, fuel card, PPE, and ongoing development opportunities in domestic heating

Qualifications

• Valid ACS gas qualifications and Gas Safe registration.
• Full UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Proven domestic gas servicing, fault finding and repairs experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out annual boiler servicing and landlord gas safety inspections.
• Diagnose heating and hot water faults and perform effective repairs.
• Repair boilers, heating controls, pumps, radiators and related components.
• Attend planned maintenance and reactive breakdowns, aiming for first-time fix.
• Ensure gas appliances and systems are safe, compliant and efficient.
• Record work details, parts used and follow-up actions in company systems.
• Identify and report safety concerns and additional works as needed.
• Deliver excellent customer service while working in occupied homes.
• Manage daily workload to meet productivity and service targets.
• Maintain high health & safety, compliance and workmanship standards.

Role Responsibilities

• Carry out annual boiler servicing and landlord gas safety inspections across domestic social housing properties
• Diagnose heating and hot water faults, identifying issues quickly and carrying out effective repairs
• Complete repairs to boilers, heating controls, pumps, motorised valves, radiators, thermostats, and associated heating system components
• Attend both planned maintenance appointments and reactive breakdowns, ensuring a first-time fix wherever possible
• Ensure all gas appliances and heating systems are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently in accordance with Gas Safe regulations
• Accurately record work completed, parts used, and follow-up actions using company systems
• Identify and report additional works or safety concerns where required
• Deliver excellent customer service while working professionally within occupied homes
• Manage your daily workload effectively while meeting productivity and service-level targets
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, compliance, and workmanship at all times

Ideal Candidate

• Valid ACS gas qualifications
• Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
• Proven experience carrying out domestic gas servicing, fault finding, and repairs
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across domestic heating systems
• Experience working within social housing or domestic residential environments is desirable
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Able to work independently and manage a busy daily schedule
