Job summary

Greencore Group is hiring a Heat Sealer in Consett to set up and operate the heat sealer, perform safety checks, and maintain equipment across multiple lines. The role requires adherence to food hygiene standards and safe production practices.

The position offers training and progression within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment at a site employing hundreds of colleagues. Competitive benefits and pension contributions are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a food manufacturer is preferred.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Problem solving abilities.
• Good communicator and ability to work in a team.
• Allergen awareness is desirable.
• L2 Food Safety is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the heat sealer machine.
• Program and perform safety checks on the heat sealer.
• Maintain and monitor the machine across multiple lines.
• Ensure sealing integrity meets customer specifications.
• Clean the heat sealer at the end of each run.
• Complete traceability paperwork as required.
• Adhere to food hygiene requirements and Health & Safety legislation.
