Job summary

Greencore Group in Consett is seeking a production operative for night shifts from 23:00 to 07:00. The role involves preparing ingredients, setting up lines, and ensuring correct utensils to avoid cross-contamination.

Full training will be provided. A background in food manufacturing is preferred, with strong literacy and numeracy, good teamwork, and allergen awareness emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a food manufacturer preferred.
• Good Literacy and Numeracy skills; problem solving.
• Good communicator and ability to work in a team.
• Allergen awareness; L2 Food Safety is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients as instructed by the Senior Operator.
• Mixing parts of meals such as rice mixes in tumblers, ensuring that machines used is cleaned accordingly after each use.
• Assist with setting up the production lines.
• Collecting the correct ingredients and equipment from chilled and packaging stores to multiple lines timely and efficiently.
• Making sure that the correct utensils are being used for Meat/veg/allergen meals, to prevent cross-contamination.

What you'll be doing
