Job summary
Installio is seeking a Technical Survey Engineer to lead site surveys and system design for residential heat pump and solar installations across the UK. You will conduct heat loss calculations, size systems, and guide the installation teams to deliver efficient, compliant solutions.
In this role you will perform annual heat pump services and reactive maintenance, support the development of survey tools, and troubleshoot designs based on real installs.
Qualifications
- NVQ 3 or above in plumbing or heating.
- Proven experience in heat pump systems.
- Strong understanding of building fabric and heat loss.
- Clean UK driving licence.
- Willing to drive to up to 2 surveys per day.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical site surveys (on-site) to assess heat pump suitability.
- Conduct detailed heat loss calculations and system sizing.
- Provide technical guidance to installation teams and project managers.
- Conduct annual heat pump services and reactive maintenance.
- Support the development of survey and design processes and tools.
- Troubleshoot and refine designs based on real-world installs.
- Stay current with industry standards, products, and best practices.
