Job summary

ARM is seeking a Technical Survey Engineer to support domestic renewable heating projects. You will conduct customer site visits, assess properties for heat pump installations, perform heat loss calculations, and produce system designs.

You’ll also provide technical support to installation teams and assist with servicing and fault finding. The role suits an experienced heating or plumbing engineer moving into a more technical survey and design-focused position, with travel to customer properties

Qualifications

• Practical heating industry experience and understanding of heating system design and fault finding.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in plumbing or heating.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer properties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out domestic site surveys to assess suitability for heat pump installations.
• Complete heat loss calculations and system sizing.
• Develop technically appropriate heating system designs.
• Provide technical advice and support to installation teams and project managers.
• Carry out heat pump servicing and fault finding as needed.
• Review completed installations and contribute to design improvements.
• Keep up to date with industry standards and best practices.
• Maintain high standard of customer service during site visits.
