Job summary

Boots Hearingcare in the United Kingdom is seeking a Hearing Wellness Advisor to welcome customers, run hearing screenings, support maintenance and assist Audiologists, helping customers on their hearing journey.

From day one you will receive structured training at our Boots Hearingcare Academy (accommodation and expenses covered), with hands-on experience in store and a clear progression to QHAD and a future Hearing Aid Audiologist role.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English and Science required.
• Strong customer-service background in healthcare or retail is advantageous.
• Ability to balance academic study with clinical practice and progression into audiology.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for customers with a warm, professional welcome.
• Carry out hearing screenings and pre-clinic checks.
• Support hearing aid maintenance, aftercare and troubleshooting.
• Assist Audiologists with clinic flow and customer preparation.
• Discuss hearing health and products with customers and manage appointments and records.

Responsibilities as a Hearing Wellness Advisor

• Be the first point of contact for customers, providing a warm and professional welcome

• Confidently discuss hearing health, ear care products, and next steps with customers
• Manage administration, appointments, and customer records accurately
• Play an active role in delivering a high-quality, customer-centric service

You'll be trusted with responsibility and supported to grow your capability over time.

Training & career progression From day one, you'll receive structured training to build confidence and clinical understanding, including sessions at our Boots Hearingcare Academy in Llandudno. Training is delivered over several months, with all accommodation and expenses covered, and is supported by hands‑on experience in store.

Career pathway

This role offers a clear progression route:

• Hearing Wellness Advisor
• QHAD Audiologist

With strong performance, you can progress onto our fully funded Qualification in Hearing Aid Dispensing (QHAD) programme, leading to a qualified Hearing Aid Audiologist role.

Requirements

• GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C / 5 or above in Maths, English, and Science
• Strong performance and customer focus
• Ability to balance academic study with clinical practice, A strong customer-service background (healthcare or retail ideal)
• Confidence working with customers in a consultative environment
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Strong attention to detail and administration skills
• A genuine interest in hearing health and progression into audiology
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science to support future QHAD entry
