Job summary

Boots Hearingcare in Glasgow is seeking a Hearing Wellness Advisor to support clinical care and customer journeys in our fast‑paced clinic network. You’ll welcome customers, run screenings, and help prepare appointments while developing into a qualified audiologist through hands‑on training and in‑store experience.

This entry‑level role offers clear progression from Hearing Wellness Advisor to QHAD and eventually Audiologist, with structured training at Boots Hearingcare Academy and fully funded

Qualifications

• Strong customer-service background (healthcare or retail ideal).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science to support future QHAD entry.

Responsibilities

• Cover stores within the Glasgow area that require support.
• Be the first point of contact for customers, providing a warm and professional welcome.
• Carry out hearing screenings and pre-clinic checks.
• Support hearing aid maintenance, aftercare, and troubleshooting.
• Assist Audiologists with clinic flow and customer preparation.
• Manage administration, appointments, and customer records accurately.

Hearing Wellness Advisor - Glasgow Area

You’ll play a key role in supporting customers throughout their hearing journey, while building the experience, skills, and qualifications needed to progress into clinical audiology- backed by the scale, stability, and investment of Boots Hearingcare.

The clinic environment

You’ll work within a modern clinic, supporting both customers and Audiologists in delivering outstanding hearing care.

The role

As a Hearing Wellness Advisor, you’ll:

• Cover stores within the Glasgow area that require support
• Be the first point of contact for customers, providing a warm and professional welcome
• Carry out hearing screenings and pre‑clinic checks
• Support hearing aid maintenance, aftercare, and troubleshooting
• Assist Audiologists with clinic flow and customer preparation
• Confidently discuss hearing health, ear care products, and next steps with customers
• Manage administration, appointments, and customer records accurately
• Play an active role in delivering a high‑quality, customer‑centric service

You’ll be trusted with responsibility and supported to grow your capability over time.

Training & career progression

From day one, you’ll receive structured training to build confidence and clinical understanding, including sessions at our Boots Hearingcare Academy in Llandudno. Training is delivered over several months, with all accommodation and expenses covered, and is supported by hands‑on experience in store.

This role offers a clear progression route: Hearing Wellness Advisor → QHAD → Audiologist

With strong performance, you can progress onto our fully funded Qualification in Hearing Aid Dispensing (QHAD) programme, leading to a qualified Hearing Aid Audiologist role.

Entry requirements:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C / 5 or above in Maths, English, and Science
• Strong performance and customer focus
• Ability to balance academic study with clinical practice
