Job summary

ECM Selection (Holdings) Limited in Cambridge seeks engineers ready to transition from hands-on engineering to business development in HealthTech. You will start as an engineer and, with support from business development professionals and engineers, evolve into a commercially focused role.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in HealthTech developing advanced surgical devices or biosensors.
• Strong academic background in electronics or mechanical engineering with at least a master’s and ideally a relevant PhD or postdoctoral experience.
• Clear and obvious desire to transition into a commercially focused business development role.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of discussing technical ideas and solutions to experts in the field as well as non-technical upper management.

Responsibilities

• Progress from engineering to business development with internal support.
• Build relationships across HealthTech sector and bring technical credibility to early-stage conversations.
• Create compelling proposals for new products and technologies and identify growth areas.
• Travel to conferences and customers around the UK, Europe and the USA; office is Cambridge outskirts; long-term career growth.
