Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Junior Service Manager to lead on the day-to-day operational management of the Surgical Directorate, focusing on maximizing elective capacity and efficient booking for outpatient clinics and theatres.

You will drive waiting list validation, performance data analysis and collaborate across the Directorate to deliver improvements that enhance patient experience and staff wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a healthcare environment and/or experience working in a busy office environment
• Knowledge of patient administration systems
• Pass GCSE English or equivalent
• Evidence of Leadership course or leadership/management qualifications

Responsabilités

• Ensure the directorate's elective capacity is fully utilised and booking processes are maintained
• Support reduction of hospital-initiated appointment cancellations through proactive planning
• Act as escalation point for day-to-day operational issues and escalate complex matters
• Lead on service improvement projects to enhance delivery, performance and patient experience
