Job summary

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an IT systems administrator to provide effective configuration, error identification and correction, and user support across multiple clinical and administrative systems. You will liaise with staff at all levels to ensure standards are followed and will support, maintain and cover the Trust’s Smartcard service.

You will gain exposure to Careflow, Bluespier, Evolve, Patientrack, and other NHS systems, with potential expansion to Miya

Qualifications

• Educated to Diploma/High National Certificate (HNC) or equivalent qualifications or experience.
• Experience of using patient or customer focussed IT based Information Systems

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the administration and integrity checks of all the above systems operational within the Trust.
• Provide technical support for all the above systems to all users ensuring incidents or tasks are completed promptly and to a high standard.
• Participate in testing, configuration, training and support of all new releases of the above software.
• Add and modify the configuration of any of the above systems for the benefit of the Trust.
• Proactively deliver and support the management and distribution of all Smartcards to staff for the Trust, following NHS Digital guidelines.
• Provide 1st and 2nd line support for all the above systems within the local Health Community (UHSx, Sussex Community Trust, SPfT, GP Surgeries, Hospices).
• Identify and escalate unresolved issues to the Supplier promptly with all relevant information.
• Assist other team members in resolving problems and queries to ease workload pressures.
• Organise own workload daily, ensuring priority work is progressed or escalated quickly and efficiently.
• Work closely with IT Technical Support, GP Surgeries, System Suppliers, and Operational Teams.
• Work with System Administrators with interfaces to the systems (MIS, JAC, PACS, CRIS, Office Automation etc).
• Work with System Trainers on common issues to improve Training and user knowledge.
