Job summary
CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd has a Day Shift Engineer role based near Southampton within a healthcare environment. The engineer will perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and building systems, working with the on-site team and reporting to senior staff.
The successful candidate will have an electrical qualification (18th Edition) and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance; salary up to £43,000 with overtime and training opportunities.
Qualifications
- Electrically qualified to a recognised standard (C&G/NVQ Level 3).
- Experience in building services maintenance and M&E.
- Good communication and fault-finding abilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical, mechanical and general building maintenance.
- Lighting: fault finding, lamping, ballast replacement, power distribution.
- Emergency lighting testing.
- Maintain AHUs and FCUs (filters and cleaning).
- Water temperature checks (no chemicals).
- Monitor BMS systems and report irregularities.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors.
- Keep logbooks updated and attend client meetings when required.
