Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting an Electrical Day Shift Engineer for a hospital site near Southampton. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance with the in-house team, working closely with senior staff.

The role requires an understanding of M&E and facilities maintenance, and offers a salary up to £43,000 with overtime and training opportunities. The position follows a two-week rolling pattern, 06:00–20:00, 4 days on / 3 days off / 3 days on / 4 days off, reflecting a robust

Responsibilities

• Electrical, mechanical and general building maintenance.
• Lighting installs, fault finding, lamping, ballast replacement, power distribution.
• Emergency lighting testing and verification.
• Maintain AHUs and FCUs (filters & cleaning)
• Water temperature checks (no chemical dosing)
• Monitor BMS systems and report irregularities
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors
• Keep logbooks updated and attend client meetings as required

You will be required to carry out planned and reactive building maintenance alongside the maintenance team on site, working closely with a senior member of the team and the team on site.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have experience in building maintenance mainly including M&E. This is a shift role working a 2 week rolling pattern covering 06:00 - 20:00 4 days on / 3 days off / 3 days on / 4 days off.
