Belmont Recruitment is seeking a Credit Controller for a private healthcare organisation on a full-time, 37.5-hour week contract. The role involves monitoring debts across private patients, insurers and NHS bodies, driving timely payments and resolving billing queries with empathy.

Responsibilities include reconciliation, reporting on arrears and debt recovery, and collaboration with the billing team to ensure accurate invoicing.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in credit control or debt collection.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong numerical and computer skills, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to learn and adapt to different finance systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and manage outstanding debts from private patients and insurers.
• Ensure timely collection of payments and minimise aged debt.
• Follow up on overdue accounts via telephone, email and written correspondence.
• Liaise with patients, insurers and NHS bodies to resolve billing queries.
• Provide excellent customer service when handling payment queries.
• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies with billing/operational teams.
• Work with the billing team to ensure invoices are accurate and issued promptly.
• Prepare reports on outstanding debts and collection performance.
• Manage complex debt recovery cases, including referrals to legal teams as required.
