Job summary

Kingsley Healthcare is seeking a Chef to plan and deliver nutritious meals for residents while managing food costs and suppliers. You will lead a kitchen team, ensure safety standards, and work within budget. Experience in healthcare or hospitality is preferred, with a focus on nutrition and resident satisfaction.

You will supervise kitchen staff, maintain hygiene, and support residents’ dietary needs. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required in a caring, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef in healthcare or hospitality.
• Strong cooking skills with ability to plan nutritious menus.
• Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for residents.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare daily menus that meet residents' nutritional needs.
• Prepare meals that are appetising, visually appealing and budget-conscious.
• Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of orders and inventory.
• Ensure food safety, storage and handling comply with regulations.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and service.
• Implement health and safety procedures and maintain hygiene standards.
• Keep kitchen clean and organised, including regular deep cleans.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
• Engage with residents and families to address dietary preferences and feedback.
