Job summary

Kingsley Healthcare is seeking a Head Chef to lead our care home kitchen, delivering nutritious, high-quality meals for residents and managing a skilled team. You will ensure dietary requirements are met, maintain food safety standards, and drive menu planning with collaboration across departments.

The role requires proven Head Chef or Executive Chef experience, relevant culinary qualifications, and a strong focus on leadership, communication, and health & safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a similar setting.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification.
• Knowledge of nutrition, dietary needs, and food safety regulations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments within the care home.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressure.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to train and supervise kitchen staff.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritious meals for residents and maintain high culinary standards.
• Manage kitchen staff, overseeing food preparation and portion control.
• Plan menus, monitor dietary requirements, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Train and mentor staff; uphold a clean, well-organised kitchen environment.
