Job summary

Practice Plus Group is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care team at HMP Stafford. The role covers night shifts (7pm-7:30am) with a 37.5-hour week and three shifts per week on a rota.

The position offers the opportunity to support registered nurses, contribute to care plans, and develop skills within a supportive justice-healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care.
• Non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good IT skills and IT literacy.
• Ability to work within a busy environment.
• Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care.
• Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
• Deliver non-judgemental care involving anything from health promotion clinics and observations to supporting the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Stafford, a catergory C men's prison located in Staffordshire

The site currently offers 37.5 hours per week.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Stafford, a catergory C men's prison located in Staffordshire

7pm - 7:30am (12.5 hour shifts)

3 shifts per week on rota bases

Salary

This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary of £25,557 to £29,723 per annum.
