Job summary

Practice Plus Group is seeking a Night Nurse to join the Primary Care team at HMP Stafford, a category C prison in Staffordshire. The role operates 37.5 hours weekly, with 7pm to 7:30am night shifts and a 4-week rolling rota, and may include day shifts for development.

The salary ranges from £34,428 to £41,559 per year, depending on experience. Induction, CPD, and career development opportunities are provided.

Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Stafford, a category C Prison located in Staffordshire.

HMP Stafford has a capacity of 741 males.

Hours

• This role is 37.5 hours per week
• Monday - Sunday service
• 7pm - 7.30am - NIGHTS
• 4 week rolling rota

Please keep in mind as a night nurse there will be a requirement to do a day shift on rotation for ongoing professional development and support.

Salary

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary between £34,428 - £41,559 per annum depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
• Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
• Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
• Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
• Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference
• Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders
• Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.
• Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi-disciplinary teams.
