Job summary

Practice Plus Group is recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant at HMP Hatfield in Hatfield Woodhouse, Yorkshire. The role supports nursing teams in delivering patient care within a category D prison setting, with a rolling 4-day pattern across 36 hours per week.

Applicants should have NVQ 2/3 in Health & Social Care, strong communication, IT literacy, and the ability to work in a busy, secure environment. Opportunities for professional development are offered.

HMP Hatfield is a prison and young offender institution near Doncaster for men aged 18 and over. It is split into 2 sites, Hatfield Main and Hatfield Lakes.

Hours

This role is 36 hours per weeks working 4 days a week on a rolling shift rota, Monday to Sunday. There are no night shifts for this role.

Salary

This position is part time, you’ll receive an annual salary of £25,557 - £29,723 pro rata depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care
• Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
