We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 HCA to join our Theatres team. This role is a based in our main hospital in Central London (W1G 6BW). We are also offering a competitive salary and a fantastic array of benefits.

Job Profile:

  • Healthcare Assistant - Theatres (Band 3)
  • Location: The London Clinic, Marylebone
  • Contract Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Salary: Competitive Band 3 salary (in line with experience)
  • Shift Pattern: Rota-based (including early, late, and occasional weekend shifts)

Based in the heart of Marylebone, our theatres span 10 fully equipped operating suites, including robotic-assisted and minimally invasive technology, delivering a wide range of complex procedures across:

  • Neuro-Spinal
  • Orthopaedics
  • General Surgery
  • Thoracic
  • Plastics and Maxillo-Facial
  • Robotics (Gynae/Urology/ENT/Ortho)
  • Ophthalmic and Vascular

As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our theatres run smoothly, supporting both clinical staff and patients before, during, and after surgery.

Key Duties:

  • Support the theatre team with safe preparation and turnover of the operating theatre
  • Assist patients with their personal care needs and provide reassurance before and after procedures
  • Maintain stock levels, clean and prepare equipment, and ensure infection control standards are upheld
  • Work closely with registered nurses and ODPs to provide seamless, patient-centred care
  • Escort patients to and from theatres, liaising with wards and recovery areas
  • Promote patient dignity, privacy and safety at all times

Skills and Experience:

  • Must have experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in a hospital setting, ideally within surgical wards or theatres
  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills
  • A caring and compassionate approach with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Willingness to learn and take part in ongoing training and development
