As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our theatres run smoothly, supporting both clinical staff and patients before, during, and after surgery.
Key Duties
- Support the theatre team with safe preparation and turnover of the operating theatre
- Assist patients with their personal care needs and provide reassurance before and after procedures
- Maintain stock levels, clean and prepare equipment, and ensure infection control standards are upheld
- Work closely with registered nurses and ODPs to provide seamless, patient-centred care
- Escort patients to and from theatres, liaising with wards and recovery areas
- Promote patient dignity, privacy and safety at all times
Skills And Experience
- Must have experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in a hospital setting, ideally within surgical wards or theatres
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills
- A caring and compassionate approach with a strong sense of responsibility
- Willingness to learn and take part in ongoing training and development
