Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a proactive Locum Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in Leek. You will aid the clinical team with routine procedures, patient assessments, and day-to-day treatment room activity within a structured primary care setting.

The role involves managing patient flow, assisting with core clinical duties, and contributing to high-quality care delivery. Experience in primary care and DBS clearance are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments.
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.

You will be part of an organised primary care environment where you will help manage patient flow, assist with core clinical duties and contribute to high-quality care delivery. The practice offers strong support and clear guidance to ensure every session runs smoothly.

Requirements
