Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in Goole. The role focuses on pro-active clinical support, routine patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activities within a structured primary care setting.

You will help manage patient flow, assist with core clinical duties and contribute to high-quality care delivery across sessions, with flexible ad-hoc or regular bookings.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments.
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.
