Leaders in Care are seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to support a GP-led Primary Care Unit in Worcester on regular agency shifts. The role focuses on phlebotomy, ECGs, and recording clinical observations within a busy environment.

The position offers evenings and weekends, with an immediate start and a 6-month contract that can extend. Training and support are provided in a GP-led clinical setting.

Formación

• Experienced Healthcare Assistant with recent clinical experience.
• Proven competency in phlebotomy and ECGs.
• Experience in GP practices or primary care settings.
• Ability to perform clinical observations and recognise deterioration (NEWS2).
• Understanding of safeguarding and infection control.
• EMIS experience desirable.

Healthcare Assistant Worcester | £14–£15 per hour | Evenings & Weekends | Immediate Start

Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant (HCA) with strong phlebotomy and ECG skills, looking for regular agency shifts?

I'm recruiting for an established GP-led Primary Care Unit at Worcestershire Royal Hospital, supporting patients referred from A&E into a dedicated primary care service.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced HCA looking for regular evening and weekend work, with an immediate start available.

What's on Offer?

Available Shifts

Monday–Friday: 3:30pm–10:00pm

Saturday & Sunday: 9:30am–4:00pm or 3:30pm–10:00pm

You don't need to be available for every shift, although regular weekly availability is preferred.

The Role

What We're Looking For

• Experienced Healthcare Assistant / HCA with recent clinical experience
• Proven practical competency in phlebotomy and ECGs – essential
• Experience within GP practices, primary care, urgent care, community or hospital settings
• Confident completing clinical observations and recognising deterioration
• Good understanding of NEWS2, safeguarding and infection control
• Comfortable working in a busy clinical environment
• EMIS experience desirable

Additional skills in wound care, suture removal and steri-strip application would be advantageous.

Please note: Practical phlebotomy and ECG experience must be evidenced. Training certificates alone will not be sufficient.
