Nursing Direct is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to support a 17-year-old client in the Polegate and Eastbourne area. This role involves providing one-to-one care for a young person with complex needs, including an eating disorder, autism, and mobility challenges.

Responsibilities include assisting with community access, encouraging independence and social participation, supporting appointments, and driving to outings.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with eating disorders, autism and self-harm behaviours.
• Awareness of epilepsy care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS, SOVA or SOCA training and Adult CPR/BLS certification.

Nursing Direct is a specialist homecare provider offering bespoke care and support to adults and children within their own homes. We are currently seeking an experienced and engaging Healthcare Assistant to support a 17-year-old female client in the Polegate and Eastbourne area.

The role involves providing one-to-one care and support to a young person with an eating disorder, autism, a history of self-harm, partial sight, motor weakness and balance difficulties. Awareness of epilepsy management is also required.

Responsibilities include supporting the client to access the community and participate in meaningful activities, encouraging independence and confidence in social settings, providing support at eating disorder appointments, assisting with mobility where required, and driving the client to appointments and outings.

Applicants should have experience supporting young people with eating disorders, autism and self-harm behaviours, awareness of epilepsy care, strong communication and interpersonal skills, a full clean UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle. An Enhanced DBS, SOVA or SOCA training and Adult CPR or BLS certification are required or must be obtained.

Applicants must currently reside in the UK, have the right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of Polegate or Eastbourne. Nursing Direct does not offer visa sponsorship.
