Job description

Nursing Direct is seeking an experienced healthcare professional to assist with a care at home package in Brighton, East Sussex.

Responsibilities include assisting with moving and handling, supporting a service user who uses a wheelchair for distances, using a hoist, assisting with personal care and dressing, providing catheter care, ensuring clinical equipment is cleaned and maintained as directed by the nurse, supporting with home cleaning and carrying out other tasks delegated by the nurse on duty.

The role operates Monday to Sunday from 09:00 to 21:00, with one Healthcare Assistant working alongside a nurse during the day. Applicants must have experience supporting clients with personal care and using a hoist, together with epilepsy and anaphylaxis awareness including use of an EpiPen.

Applicants must currently live in the UK, have the right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of Brighton. Nursing Direct does not offer visa sponsorship and cannot accept candidates on 20‑hour Student Visas or Skilled Worker Visas.
