An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team on the Children's Unit as a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking, and friendly individual to become a valuable part of our team.
The role involves assisting nursing staff in delivering care to children and their families within the hospital setting. Responsibilities include accurately recording, collating, monitoring, and providing feedback on patient information, and initiating actions as necessary. You will assist in caring for both surgical and medical patients.
The ideal candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, team-oriented, empathetic, and capable of developing practical skills. A holistic approach to patient care is essential.
Requirements include NVQ III or equivalent (or current progress towards this qualification), previous experience in a caring environment, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required.

Applicants will be responsible for their DBS check costs, which may be deducted from their salary over the first three months. Enrolment in the DBS Update Service is encouraged, with an annual fee of £16.
