ICU is a busy but friendly Intensive Care Unit. We are looking to recruit a caring, proactive person who has good experience of delivering personal care for and caring for adults. Experience of caring for patients in an acute hospital setting is an advantage.
In addition to delivering direct personal care for patients, you'll be responsible for ensuring the ICU's operational capability, maintaining essential equipment, stocking supplies, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
The Healthcare Assistant will work as part of the Critical Care team under supervision from registered practitioners to provide safe, effective, patient-focused care at all times.
Contribute positively and professionally to the care environment.
Support the daily provision of services and care tailored to individual patient needs.
Ensure smooth ICU operations and deal with patients, relatives, and carers in a friendly and efficient manner.
Adhere to policies and guidelines at all times.

As a healthcare assistant, you play a vital role in delivering high standards of care on ICU.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure all patients are treated with dignity and respect. Your duties include assisting with personal hygiene, meals, engaging with patients, and collaborating with patients, carers, and the team.
This demanding role requires compassion, motivation, enthusiasm, organization, and the ability to work independently and in a team. Effective communication skills are essential.
This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check due to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
