Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is recruiting for a fixed-term Work Well coach to support individuals facing health-related barriers to work. Hybrid working is available across the locality, with full-time preferred but flexible arrangements considered.

This role involves one-to-one coaching, assessments and personal action plans, plus coordination with health and employment partners to aid progression. Successful candidates will have coaching or counselling qualifications and a good standard of

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching approaches such as Motivational Interviewing or wellbeing coaching.
• Ability to maintain accurate case records and progress notes.
• Understanding of health, wellbeing and employment links and pathways.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of individuals referred into Work Well and support their journey.
• Carry out holistic assessments and personalised action plans and review progress.
• Deliver person-centred coaching to build confidence, resilience and motivation.
• Provide information, advice and practical support on employment, training, benefits, health and services.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals, employers and partners to arrange support and referrals.
• Assist individuals to access local services and navigate health, social care and employment pathways.
• Deliver group sessions, workshops and awareness activities when required.
• Maintain records, case notes and outcome data.
• Ensure eligibility criteria and safeguarding requirements are followed.
• Contribute to service evaluation and programme outcomes.
• Promote the Work Well service to referral partners.
