Saica Group is recruiting an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to lead at the Livingston facility. You will own the HSE strategy, ensure legislative compliance and foster a proactive safety culture across the site.

Reporting to the Regional Director, you will drive improvement plans, manage audits, trainings and environmental initiatives while aligning with ISO 45001/14001 and UK regulations.

Formación

• 3 to 5 years' experience in Health, Safety & Environmental management.
• NEBOSH General Certificate required.
• Working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Experience conducting audits, investigations and risk assessments.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and implement the site's HSE strategy, objectives and improvement plans.
• Drive a proactive safety culture through engagement, coaching and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Manage risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Lead internal and external audits, maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Support contractor management processes and emergency preparedness activities.
• Deliver HSE training, inductions, toolbox talks and competency programmes.
• Promote environmental initiatives focused on waste reduction, recycling and sustainability.
• Monitor, analyse and report on HSE performance metrics and KPIs.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Regional Director, you'll take ownership of the site's Health, Safety and Environmental strategy, ensuring legislative compliance while fostering a positive and engaging safety culture throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll be a confident and influential HSE professional with strong manufacturing experience and a passion for driving continual improvement.

Essential Requirements

• 3 to 5 years' experience within a Health, Safety & Environmental management role.


• NEBOSH General Certificate.


• Working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.


• Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.


• Experience conducting audits, investigations and risk assessments.


• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.


• Ability to influence and engage colleagues at all levels of the organisation.

Desirable

• Experience within FMCG, packaging or manufacturing environments.


• Environmental qualification.


• Degree in Environmental Science, Health & Safety or a related discipline.
