O’Neill & Brennan in Oxford is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support a £50m+ commercial development on site. You will work with the Project Manager and Senior H&S Manager to maintain high safety standards from construction through to completion.

The role requires proactive H&S leadership on site, conducting audits, developing RAMS, ensuring CDM compliance and delivering toolbox talks to subcontractors and site teams.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction industry.
• Experience working for a Main Contractor or within Tier 1/Tier 2 environments.
• NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of UK construction health & safety legislation.
• Good understanding of CDM Regulations and site inspections.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with site teams.
• Proactive approach to identifying and managing health & safety risks; report writing skills.
• CSCS or appropriate site safety qualification.

Aufgaben

• Provide competent, proactive H&S advice to the project team and supply chain.
• Carry out site inspections, audits and health & safety tours; implement corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with the Construction Phase Plan, RAMS and company policies.
• Review subcontractor RAMS for suitability and on-site implementation.
• Develop and review project-specific health & safety documentation.
• Support CDM compliance and broader health & safety legislation on site.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and trigger root-cause analysis and preventative measures.
• Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and health & safety training initiatives.
• Promote a positive health & safety culture and engage with site teams and subcontractors.
• Attend project meetings and provide health & safety updates and guidance.
