Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Librarian (Band 5) based at The Curve Library, Prestwich, Manchester. You will support staff, students and service users by providing evidence, information and knowledge to inform care and decision-making.

You will conduct literature searches, deliver training, develop current awareness bulletins and manage e-resources, with scope for some home working under the Trust's policy.

Qualifications

• Degree in Library/Information Management or equivalent, with a postgraduate qualification or experience.
• Chartered (MCLIP) membership or working towards it.
• Experience delivering frontline customer service in a library/knowledge setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a comprehensive literature search service for clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Deliver training sessions (one-to-one and group) face-to-face and virtual.
• Maintain and develop the LMS and library stock catalogue.
• Update and manage the library website and intranet pages.
• Provide specialist advice on mental health, public health evidence and information.
