Derby City Council, within the Livewell service of the Physical Activity and Health Team, is recruiting Health Check Advisors to deliver NHS Health Checks in communities and workplaces across Derby. Based within our award-winning Livewell service, part of the Physical Activity and Health Team, our Health Check Advisors play a vital role in helping people take the first step towards a healthier future.
Health Check Advisors deliver NHS Health Checks to eligible people across Derby's communities and workplaces. The national NHS Health Check programme helps identify and reduce the risk of serious conditions including heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, kidney disease and some forms of dementia. Through a friendly, person-centred approach, Health Check Advisors help people understand their health, identify their risk factors and feel empowered to make positive changes that can lead to a longer, healthier life.
No two days will be the same. The role works across a range of community and workplace settings, engaging with people from diverse backgrounds and helping us reach those who may benefit most from preventative health support.
