The Prince of Wales Ward at Wrexham Maelor Hospital is seeking a Health Care Support Worker to join our general medicine team. You will work with nurses to deliver patient fundamentals of care, support discharge planning and help maintain a safe, compassionate environment on the ward.

We welcome applicants with an approachable manner, good communication and teamwork. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply, in line with NHS Wales values.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic Health Care Support Worker to join Prince of Wales Ward at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

Prince of Wales Ward specializes in general medicine. Come and join us - and be a part of brand new exciting hospital developments, which are creating the ideal environment for our newly qualified nurses, staff and our patients, improving the health of the population we serve.

Applicants must have an approachable manner necessary to deal with patients and their relatives and desirable experience of a hospital environment., Applicants will work as part of a team of nurses on the ward and undertake patient fundamentals of nursing care tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered General Nurse responsible for the patient's management.

You will need to be flexible and dynamic in your approach in delivering care to patients. The post holder needs to have good communication skills and be an effective team player.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
