We have an exciting opportunity for two new HealthCare Assistants (HCA's) to join our team.
As part of our multidisciplinaryteam, you will help to improvethe medical care of patients by carrying out simple clinical observations andinvestigations, such as dipstick, blood pressures, phlebotomy, annual reviewtests and NHS health checks. You will also provide administrative and patientcontact support as directed by the management team.
Previous experience in a health care setting is desirable,although any required training will be provided.
The HCA mustensure that they work within and recognise their scope of practice, escalatingany concerns to a senior clinician as appropriate.
HCA's deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education. Working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, you will assist in the care of the practice patient population.
As part of our nursing team, you will help to improve themedical care of patients by carrying out simple clinical observations andinvestigations, such as dipstick, blood pressures, phlebotomy, annual reviewtests and NHS health checks. You also support the smooth running and delivery ofclinical services through ensuring the clinical spaces are appropriately andsafely stocked.
TheHCA must ensure that they work within and recognise their scope of practice,escalating any concerns to a senior clinician as appropriate.
Any required training will be provided, and youwill work under the supervision of registered clinicians for clinical tasks
We are a 2-site, part-dispensing practice in Kendal with around 17,500 patients, keen to attract caring, motivated, and passionate colleagues. We are a training practice with an active frailty and care home support team. We offer a wide range of enhanced services including minor surgery, women's health and menopause, coil/implant fitting, as well as Dermatology and ENT GPwER clinics.

We are a GP registrar and medical student training practice, an accredited Veteran Friendly practice, and a parkrun practice.
When trained, the HCA will carry out simple clinical observations and investigations work, such as dipstick, blood pressures, phlebotomy, Annual Review Tests, NHS Health Checks, ECG, INR.
