Job summary

Operose Health in partnership with Lucas Avenue Practice is seeking a Healthcare Assistant for a part-time role (15 hours per week). Salary is up to £30,000 depending on experience, pro rata for the hours worked.

You will support clinical colleagues with patient care, assist with health checks, blood pressure and basic wound care, and help with administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient journeys and compliant service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Primary Care setting and phlebotomy.
• Ability to work within processes and maintain data security.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and be personable with patients.
• Basic PC skills including Word, Excel, and email.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient duties and supporting other team members.
• Supporting the Practice with duties related to CQC outcomes and compliance.
• Experience with patients with long-term conditions such as Diabetes; phlebotomy.
• Perform clinical procedures such as new patient health checks, BMI, blood pressure, pulse and basic wound care.
• Complete administrative tasks such as new patient registrations, leaflets distribution, stock control and ordering.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assisting with patient duties as required and support other team members such as clinical and Nurse Lead with patient care.
• Supporting the Practice with duties related to CQC outcomes and ensuring compliance is maintained.
• You will be working with patients with long term conditions such as Diabetes etc. So must have experience in Phlebotomy.
• Provide clinical procedures such as new patient health checks, BMI, blood pressure, pulse and simple wound care.
• Completing administrative tasks such as new patient registrations, providing appropriate leaflets, stock control and ordering.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in a Primary Care setting and phlebotomy.
• Ableto work within processes, procedures and maintain confidently and data security.
• Must be able to adapt with changing priorities and be personable, polite and patient with our patients.
• Must have basic PC skills such as Word, Excel and email.
• Ability to use own judgement and be aware of professional boundaries they are working to.
