A multi-academy trust based in Hedge End, Southampton, is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to ensure a safe environment for students and staff. The role requires a NEBOSH qualification, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage risks across multiple sites. Candidates must possess a full UK driving license. This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, with a competitive salary range of £33,179 - £36,369 per annum for full-time roles.
Health and Safety Officer who has proven experience in an H&S role, a recognised qualification e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent with excellent organisational and communication skills is required to join a well-established multi-academy trust, comprising of three schools, based in Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire.
SALARY: Full-Time £33,179 - £36,369 per annum OR Part-Time £16,177 - £17,733 per annum
LOCATION: Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire (SO30)
JOB TYPE: Permanent, Full-Time or Part-Time
WORKING HOURS: Both full time hours of 5 days a week (35 hours), and part time hours of 3 days a week (21 hours) would be considered, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm, 39 weeks per year (term time)
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: Candidates MUST have a Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for travel between Trust sites.

Working as the Health and Safety Officer you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all students, staff, and visitors across all schools within the Trust. You will have the scope to reshape current policies and procedures, introduce new practices and advise the Trust’s most senior leaders.
As you conduct regular audits/inspections, risk assessments and roll out training programmes you will ensure that health and safety is fully embedded in daily activity.
Working as the Health and Safety Officer you will continually refresh your expertise of legislation and best practice and build networks with other external health and safety experts.
