Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

Location: South Wales

Industry: Food Manufacturing

Salary: Up to £59,000 (including car allowance) + 14% combined pension & private healthcare

Overview

This role is for a proactive EHS Manager who is committed to making a real difference in safety, health, and environmental practices. It's not about ticking boxes but about driving meaningful change, influencing senior management, and fostering a safer, healthier, and greener workplace sustainably.

Responsibilities

1. Own and drive the EHS agenda on site
2. Manage and develop the EHS Coordinator
3. Advise the senior team and ensure your recommendations are acted upon
4. Lead risk reduction and hazard elimination projects
5. Identify gaps in current practices and implement improvements

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant safety and environmental management experience
• Experience in food manufacturing environments
• People management experience, even if limited to one or two individuals
• NEBOSH Certificate (preferably Diploma), IEMA, or equivalent
