Base pay range

We are recruiting a Health and Safety Manager to work for a leading company based in Dudley.

Main duties include:

1. Providing clear awareness of Health and Safety legislation throughout the business and advising employees and managers accordingly.
2. Ensuring the business remains compliant with legislation and updates.
3. Implementing and maintaining Health and Safety systems such as Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, and Safe Systems of Work.
4. Developing in-house training programs for all job roles across the Shopfloor and recognizing the need for new programs.
5. Maintaining and updating all Health and Safety training across the business.
6. Organizing external training for employees when required.
7. Controlling and ensuring contractor competency for services provided to the business.
8. Achieving and maintaining ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications.
9. Representing the company to external auditors, legal bodies, suppliers, and customers.
10. Leading internal audits, management reviews, and implementing corrective actions.
11. Overseeing Health and Safety onsite across all activities and coaching managerial staff on responsibilities.
12. Supporting the implementation and management of environmental and health and safety systems across premises.
13. Assisting in onboarding new employees through EHS Induction.
14. Ensuring proper reporting and investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses.
15. Participating in disciplinary procedures related to Health and Safety breaches.

Candidate skills and experience:

1. Previous experience in a Health & Safety environment.
2. Knowledge of HSE government authorities and environmental regulations.
3. Experience in manufacturing, production, or logistics sectors.
4. Experience with audits.

Additional information:

The company offers full training, ongoing career progression, and a secure, stable environment. The role is full-time, 38 hours per week, with hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 am to 4:30 pm on Friday.
