VIQU Energy Limited is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to support infrastructure service operations across Cambridgeshire. The role is hands-on, involves multiple sites and travel between sites, with a strong focus on ensuring compliance and promoting a positive safety culture.

Ideal candidates hold a NEBOSH General Certificate (and NEBOSH Construction Certificate preferred) with experience in construction, energy or infrastructure, and a full UK driving licence.

• Experience in a Health & Safety advisory role is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide Health & Safety advice to operations and contractors, ensuring legal compliance.

Health & Safety Advisor

Location: Cambridgeshire – at least 4 days per week on site

Salary: 43,000– 48,000 per annum + car

The Opportunity

We are recruiting a Health & Safety Advisor to support infrastructure service operations across Cambridgeshire. Working closely with operational teams, contractors and senior Health & Safety colleagues, you will promote a positive safety culture, ensure compliance with legislation and help manage operational risks. This is a hands–on role involving multiple sites, with opportunities to support other contracts across East Anglia.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Health & Safety advice to operational teams and contractors, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
• Carry out site inspections, audits and monitoring to identify risks and improve safety standards.
• Support risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Assist with incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Promote safe working practices through coaching, training and engagement.
• Maintain accurate records, analyse performance and contribute to reporting.
• Collaborate with operational managers and colleagues to reduce incidents and improve safety.

About You

• NEBOSH General Certificate and ideally NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
• Experience in a Health & Safety advisory or SHE role, ideally within construction, energy or infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, risk management and safe systems of work.
• An understanding of CDM Regulations and site–based operations.
• Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
