Job summary

Turner Lovell is recruiting an HSE Advisor to support highways and infrastructure operations in Cambridgeshire. The role involves advising on safety, performing site inspections, and helping teams implement safe working practices on site.

Ideal candidates will have NEBOSH certification, strong communication skills and a good grasp of UK health and safety legislation, CDM regulations, and risk management. A full UK driving licence is required for site travel.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General or Construction certificate or equivalent.
• Experience in a SHE or Health & Safety advisory role.
• Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, risk management and safe systems of work.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations where applicable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence operational teams and contractors.
• Analytical approach to incident investigation and problem solving.
• Competent Microsoft Office skills.
• Full UK driving licence for travel to operational sites.

Responsibilities

Turner Lovell is recruiting a Health & Safety Advisor for an established infrastructure services business supporting highways operations across Cambridgeshire.

This opportunity would suit a safety professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, providing practical advice and influencing safe working practices on site. You will support essential infrastructure works, helping teams manage risk, maintain compliance and turn lessons learned into improvements.

A NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5/6, completed or in progress, would be advantageous. IOSH membership, SEATS training, First Aid at Work and experience with ISO management systems would also be beneficial.
