Job summary

Suffolk County Council is seeking a Health Business Centre Advisor in the Children’s Community Health Services (CCHS) team. You will be the first point of contact for families and professionals, delivering high quality administrative and customer-focused support to healthcare teams across Suffolk.

You’ll handle enquiries, maintain records, assist with reports and develop admin processes, working 8am–5pm on weekdays with flexible options.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 qualification in Business Administration, Customer Services or equivalent.
  • Experience in office administration and customer service delivery with a flexible and positive approach to work
  • excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy with strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • the ability to prioritise workload and work effectively within a busy team
  • excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • experience handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately and an understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures
  • a commitment to improving outcomes for children, young people and families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and customer-focused first point of contact via telephone, email and other communications.
  • Maintain accurate records and data to support service reporting and performance targets.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations and other administration support materials.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of administrative systems and processes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and teams within the Health Business Centre and wider Service.
  • Support the administration of Health Visiting, School Nursing and Children’s Community Health services through the processing of all digitally received documentation and delivery of functions that enable staff to deliver for our service users e.g. annual equipment checks, ordering of PPE etc
  • Register and process new children and referrals on clinical systems, including SystmOne, ensuring timely and accurate data entry to meet service KPIs.
  • Support School Nursing activities, including processing referrals, coordinating the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP), managing updates relating to children's medical conditions within schools, and liaising with schools and clinicians.
