Polaris Education - Scunthorpe School is seeking an exceptional Headteacher to lead a newly formed, inclusive school serving pupils aged 5–18 with SEN in Scunthorpe. The role demands compassionate educational leadership and a commitment to holistic development within a values-driven Polaris community.

The position is full-time, term-time only, with a salary of £50,000 to £60,000 dependent on experience. Enhanced pension, on-site parking, CPD opportunities and life insurance are among benefits

Qualifications

• QTS with primary/secondary teaching experience required.
• First degree and/or NPQH desirable but not essential.
• Experience working with SEN students and understanding their needs.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to inspire others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsabilités

• Educational Leadership: Develop a vision aligning with Polaris ethos, lead school to meet Independent School Standards and Ofsted expectations.
• Safeguarding: Designated Safeguarding Lead, implement policies and reporting with safeguarding partners.
• Curriculum Enhancement: Adapt curriculum to meet diverse needs and ensure engaging learning.
• Pastoral & SEN Advocacy: Support emotional wellbeing and EHCP-aligned advocacy.
• Staff Development: Mentor staff and foster collaborative teamwork.
• Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and external partners.
